Our Dental Retreat in Mindo was created to help you achieve a beautiful smile in comfort, and at a fraction of the price you would pay in Canada.  The dental team we work with offers patients the latest technologies and services such as implant dentistry. You will experience comfortable, attentive dental care from a dentist and staff that is friendly, experienced, highly trained, and able to communicate with you in English. Take the time you need to get all of your work done, while living in comfort and safety, with a team of people taking care of all of your needs, starting with picking you up at the airport.
Have you considered getting dental implants or other dental work done in another country before – but maybe the idea of stepping off a plane in a foreign country and searching for a dental office was just a little overwhelming? Well, don’t worry, you won’t have to do that. We will pick you up at the airport and take you straight to your accommodations. All transportation to and from appointments will be arranged. All of your meals will be prepared with fresh local ingredients right on site. And you will be situated in a natural paradise while you take the time to heal.
A nice smile is not just part of looking better, but is also about feeling better. We have a multi-skilled and specialist team working together to give you better dental health and a smile you can be proud of. The team’s expertise spans a number of areas, including general and specialist dentistry, and they perform treatments in the areas of endodontics (root canals), orthodontics (braces), periodontics (gum disease) and maxillofacial surgery. Their specialists work together to provide you with specific and comprehensive treatments that integrate all the principles of aesthetics, health and function into your care plan.

Be sure to give priority to your dental treatment. If you are feeling good and have the okay from the dental team, then by all means take advantage of being on vacation and have some fun. Should I tell my dentist that I am going away to get work done?

It would definitely be a good idea to discuss this with your dentist. We would even encourage you to see your home dentist for a check up before leaving.

 

Do I need to have my dental records transferred?

Bringing your dental records with you would be of benefit to the dental team who will be working to make your smile even more beautiful, however, presenting previous dental records is not required. The team has access to state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment right on site, and that is included in the price you have been quoted for your work.

What kinds of procedures are offered?

The dental team we work with has the ability to do pretty much anything, including ALL-ON-4 Implants, permanently fixed implants, denture implants, dental crowns, porcelain veneers, Invisalign braces, cosmetic dentistry, root canals, emergency dental care, or just a simple cleaning or repair. Just ask if what you are looking for is not on this list.

Will I be safe in Ecuador?

You will be staying in Mindo during your dental retreat – a small village of just over 3,000 people on a property that is completely safe. The vast majority of the population is fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and vigilent about safety. You will need to use the same common sense you would use anywhere in the world. We will help you to be very safe and build that confidence for you and your family or friends before you leave Canada.

Likewise, dental clinics that cater to international patients are modern and use the same brands and materials as your dentist at home.

  4. We have vetted the dental team we work with through a thorough background check, confirming their dental qualifications and professional memberships. We have also collected patient reviews, as well as clinic photos, and pricing for all procedures. We have further carried out thorough site visits and checked legal/criminal records.
